Here you will be able to find all of the book reviews I have written. This is a great place to start if you are looking for an exciting new book to read or if you have been wondering about a particular novel and want some additional insight before starting it.
I rate books in five primary areas on a scale of one-to-five. The categories addressed are: Plot, Setting, Characters, Creativity, Writing. I also provide an overall rating for the book, which is an average of the scores given to each of these five areas.
Please note that I try to be as unbiased in my review as possible. While I may absolutely adore a book, or hate it, I assess each of these areas as accurately as possible without letting my personal reading preferences interfere. A good example of this can be found in my review of Dragon’s Bait by Vivian Vande Velde. This is one of my all-time favorite books and I have read it multiple times. Regardless of my deep admiration for this book, however, I awarded it an overall score of 3.75. Despite the fact that it is one of my favorite stories, I realize there are things within it that may, or may not, appeal to the mass majority of readers.
